We are proud to present our newest vacation Home, the Mansion on E. Victory Drive . The Home is a stunning 5Br/4.5 BA ,3 story 5500 sqft Victorian, built in the late 18800`s and is probably one of the most spectacular vacation rentals in Savannah. The Home was built by a family who owned and operated a five and dime retail store on Broughton St. The early history of Savannah is remarkable in its sheer diversity of people - different religions and ethnicities.
Victory Drive was originally named Estill Avenue. In 1919 it was established as a memorial boulevard in honor of WWI soldiers and was subsequently renamed Victory Drive. It is famous for its grand Mansions, beautiful live Oaks and its Palm Trees, each one of which is said to represent the loss of a Savannah soldiers` life. The trees run all the way to Tybee Island.
The house is the perfect vacation home for large families, scout groups or a group of friends. Why not spend a holiday together with your loved one in a true southern mansion?
The Home itself is a sight to behold. 14 large rooms spread out over 3 stories. When you walk thru the front door you immediately notice the staircase to the second floor and the baby grand Piano nestled at the fireplace. The dinning room is large and can seat up to 20 comfortably. The gourmet kitchen invites you and your family to sit around the breakfast bar while you prepare a real southern breakfast. There is also a separate breakfast room or you could even enjoy breakfast in the sunroom while gazing out over Victory drive. The pull out sofa in the sunroom may even be inviting for a little nap.
The master bedroom is located on the ground floor too, which allows easy access if you don`t like stairs. The second floor is comprised of 4 bedrooms one very large, which would be considered a master if it had an ensuite bathroom. One of the bedrooms has a bunk bed which is great if you like your children close by. There are also 3Bathrooms on the second floor. The 3rd floor is probably a children's dream and some adults too, with a cozy loft like bedroom that offers great views out of the 2 cove windows.
There is plenty of space thru out the Home for air mattresses , so it can sleep up to 20 easily.
There is ample parking for 6-8 cars and a front porch that invites you to take a break from life in the fast lane with some comfortable rocking chairs.
The Home will be available from Jan 3rd . We` ve already had many inquiries about it, so don`t hesitate if you are planning a family reunion m wedding, work party or just want to experience Savannah in a true southern fashion as opposed to staying in a Hotel or B&B .
