If you are looking for an amazing Savannah experience, the Judge White Cottage is it. This is an amazing piece of history in the heart of downtown Savannah and within walking distance to pretty much everything. The character of the cottage is like no other. Even though the cottage is over 250 years, it still has an updated kitchen and bathroom with all the amenities to stay for longer than a couple of days. Savannah Dream Vacations staff is amazing. They take great care of the property and made it easy from the time I booked it to the time I checked out. I can't wait to get back there and stay a little longer.
Manager Response:
Thank you for the great feedback, Tom! We look forward to your next trip!

The crooked cabin , pretty cool perfect location, be very careful of the stairs I'm a athletic guy and just about went down three times "no joke". Walking distance from everything, bbq joint two doors over is awesome I think it's called walls. Talk to the old lady she is nice " was cutting up collard greens when I was in there. The place right next door was just featured on hgtv! Try the low country boil anywhere while down there. Overall I would recommend this place. Ps the shower isn't that bad. And we went to tybee island where they where filming "Bay Whatch" and we met the Rock, he came back to our place had a couple beers and some pizza. Pretty cool!

My husband and I stayed at the cottage during our short visit to Savannah to celebrate our anniversary. We had such a good time. The house was such a great place to stay. Yes the stairs are awkward, yes the shower is small but this all adds to the charm of this special place. The courtyard is a great place to sit and read and relax. It is very close to everything. Walls BBQ in the alley is a great place to eat. We only stayed three nights so we really needed more time. I would recommend that you choose the little crooked house for your visit. You will enjoy it. I know we did.

This was a cute and quirky place to stay. The location is perfect and within walking distance to many attractions. The stairs are a drawback for anyone with knee problems but a non issue for most people. This is an old house so expect that although the kitchen and bath have been upgraded and there is a dishwasher. The shower has incredible water pressure and the water was always hot. The only complaint I have is that when they say one washcloth, that is what you get. I use a new washcloth daily so request additional at the onset of your stay. Overall, we had a lovely experience here. I would also like to say that when we contacted Manderley, she was quick to respond and very professional.

The Judge White Cottage is in the perfect location in Historic Savannah with easy access to all that the beautiful city has to offer. Off-street parking is included just behind the private courtyard, but most attractions are within a short and scenic walking distance. The cottage itself helps you to step back in time and be a part of Savannah's history. It is nicely appointed with all amenities, central heat and A/C, a nice kitchen and bath, two fireplaces and a comfortable bed in a loft-like second floor bedroom. The stairs are narrow and steep, but quite manageable. We very much enjoyed our stay.

Wonderful location. Charming cottage that fits well with the local fair. I couldn't ask for a better stay. The owners were very easy to get in contact with and were very helpful. Great place for one or two people to stay in. The stairs to the bungalow style bedroom were tough for a tall guy especially after a couple drinks, but that would be my only small complaint. If you want the true historical district experience these would be the people to call.

A Perfect Cottage For Two

The Judge White Cottage was the perfect spot for exploring Savannah. My boyfriend and I recently spent 4 nights there and walked to nearly everything we wanted to see. taking the tours of the city is a great way to see what you want to go back to. The stairs to the loft bedroom were a little tricky, maybe not safe for an elderly person (or a drinker). Otherwise we found the cottage to be clean, well supplied and in the perfect location. We loved the Olde Pink House restaurant and River Street was lots of fun in the evening. We also enjoyed a great day at Tybee Island!

The Cottage was adorable but crazy crooked. I felt like I was in a side show at the Fair. The place is very clean and beautiful. The on site parking was great. The whole experience was great its peaceful with a great location to all the area's of Savannah. The only issue we had was the stair case going up to the bed was challenging and the water pressure in the shower was way to strong and no way to adjust it. We loved our stay and would recommend to everyone go and enjoy.

Loved the coziness of the cabin. The steps going up to the bedroom took some getting use to. We didn't even try to take our suitcases up the stairs. We just carried up what we needed for the bedroom and left all our clothes downstairs since the bathroom was downstairs. We walked every place we went in the historical district. By the end of the day we decided to drive to the river front. We would definitely stay in the cottage again.

My wife and I enjoyed our stay at Judge White Cottage. While the place is quite small, it was cosy, clean and had everything we needed. Stairs to upstairs bedroom were a bit narrow and the light in the shower should be fixed. Bed was comfortable. Living room and kitchen were up to par and provided all we needed.

We were very pleased with the Judge White Cottage. It was spotless and very well stocked with everything. The location is great. We parked in our private spot and walked everywhere. The property description was what we expected with many more amenities. Rental mgmt. was quick to change some burned out lightbulbs and very pleasant. Be sure to tell folks that the back door is only secure with the deadbolt in you have to exit the front door to secure the home.

Staying in the Judge White Cottage was like a trip back in time but with all the modern conveniences. The cottage is perfect for a couple and the location can't be beat! It's a short walk to the Pirates House and the river and near to everything in Savannah. There's a great pizza place nearby and Clary's is a short walk away. The house is such a piece of the history of Savannah and it was fun for us to try and figure out what it must have been like for the original owners living there. We enjoyed having our morning coffee sitting in the back yard and having a parking space in back is a premium for Savannah. Savannah Dream Vacations never disappoints with all the amenities stocked in the house and dealing with them is always a pleasure. They respond immediately to any questions and they're just a quick phone call away. We will definitely be renting from them again!

The Judge White Cottage was a perfect rental home for our recent trip for two in Savannah. The home had everything we wanted, to include history, charm, and off street parking. The location is amazing - just a short walk from all of the sights and shops, and overlooking one of the city's beautiful squares. The property managers were extremely professional and pleasant to work with. The description and photos accurately illustrate this wonderful vacation home - we are already looking forward for our next visit!

We really enjoyed our stay at the judge white cottage. I had read other reviews about the spiral stairs so we packed two small bags instead of our large suite case and had no issues getting up and down with luggage. We cooked in the cooked in the kitchen one night and wished I had known there was a grill in the courtyard out back. Would've been nice to grill out and eat outside! It's location was perfect, we did the on/off trolley tour and was able to get off close to the cottage and back on. The shower is small and the shower head is so large that it has too much water pressure!! That's the only real negative. It's a small house so don't expect tons of room but it was perfect for our family and it was so much better than a hotel room!! We will stay here again for sure!!

Great property and location. Overall clean property, inside very nice. Very enjoyable. Some things needed attention, but no complaints, just suggestions. Landscape needed work and parking area needed trimming. Hard to park in 1 space as directed because of it. Shower head needs adjusting, water to hard. More towels needed, 2 people and only 4 towels for 4 days. Back door needs work to lock properly. It would be better to call with code or text, email not appropriate the day of arrival, on the road and unable to recieve. I would stay here again...

Spring 2014 Getaway

My husband & I recently stayed at the Judge White cottage (3/19/14) and thoroughly enjoyed it! We are farmers and needed a quick getaway before our busy season started. The cottage was tinier than we realized from the pictures, but it was perfect for the two of us. Everything was immaculately cleaned and cared for. The king size bed upstairs was comfy and linens clean & fresh. I will say the stairway is quite precarious and if we neede to get up in the night, we used a small pin light to make our way down them. Our concierge, Marcia, from Savannah Dream Vacations was wonderful and helpful in making reservations for us at several restaurants. We were a few blocks further from the river front than we thought, but the weather was beautiful and the walking was enjoyed by both of us. The history of, not only the town of Savannah , but also that of the Judge White cottage was very interesting and well worth the stay. We would absolutely recommend that you stay here!

Very nice . This was the oldest building we've ever stayed at. The living room so rustic we could imagine what it was like in the 1700's. Very glad the rest of the house modernized. By the way, go to Walls bbq down the alley! Best home cooking in town!

We stayed in the Judge White Cottage for a long weekend to celebrate my husband's birthday. It was perfect. Great location and all the amenities you'd expect from a nice hotel... but in a cute little house instead. It was so nice to come home to a house instead of a hotel. Pretty much anything you want to see or do is within walking distance - including a grocery store. The only potential issue is the beautiful but very narrow spiral staircase. We didn't have much trouble, but if you're not good with stairs you'll have some issues. Overall we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and plan to come back!

My girlfriend and I stayed at the Judge White Cottage for a long weekend this past November and we absolutely enjoyed every minute of it. The location is perfect! It is walkable to the Historic district (we did not rent a car). We had a wonderful breakfast out in the yard one morning under a beautiful late fall sky. The living room furniture is very comfortable (I loved the recliner chair)! We loved it and I hope we can return some day. The only thing to look out for are the stairs. They are tight and steep (typical for a house of this vintage). Just be careful and deliberate on them and you will be fine.

This cottage is a fabulous location and home away from home. We stayed here for four nights to celebrate my husband's 50th birthday. It was comfortable, convenient, and cozy. There are a multitude of delicious places to eat very near by. Manderly and Marcia at Savannah Dream Vacations were fabulous. Marcia made several dinner recommendations and reservations for us and all of them were fabulous. She even arranged a special table for us on my husband's birthday at the Olde Pink House. The cottage is exceptionally clean and well kept. There are many newer amenities. If you are physically challenged, as others have mentioned, the stairs are a little tricky, but for us they were not a problem at all. We would definitely stay here again.

We loved this little cottage. Historic feeling in a quiet neighborhood near all the attractions. Falling to sleep to the "clomp, clomp" of horse-drawn carriages transported us back in time. Great off street parking, nice private patio, and comfortable accommodations. Only drawback is the long climb down a steep stairway to the bathroom in the middle of the night. But that is well worth it!

The Judge White cottage is a tremendous slice of Savannah history (also featured in a book about local Little Crooked Houses we found on River Street) and a wonderful property. The link to Abraham Lincoln is interesting, and his countenance greets you every time you enter the cottage or go downstairs. If you allow yourself to get wrapped up in the Southern Gothic of Savannah ghost stories, this cottage will play to your thoughts. I loved the old-wood aroma of this place. There also are plenty of modern amenities when you're relaxing late at night. If you enjoy BBQ, definitely go out the garden, turn right and walk 20 feet to Walls BBQ. You'll be impressed by the food and warmed by the wonderful people who cook, serve and chat.

This small cottage was in the historic district and close to many attractions. We found the cottage to be quaint, clean, and well furnished. Bathroom is quite small and stairs to the loft bedroom were a challenge for my husband who has a handicapped leg. These items should be included in the description of the property. Off street parking and courtyard were a bonus. We had a very nice time during our spring break vacation in Savannah. Thank you!
